VR46 RACING TEAM HAS UNVEILED ITS MOTOGP 2024 LIVERY

9 months ago By Sports Desk

Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP team VR46 Racing has just unveiled its new livery for the 2024 season, creating excitement for the future. This will be VR46’s third year in the premier category and they have not only changed their look, they have also brought in major sponsors and changed the driver line-up.

The team came to prominence for the second year running, with Marco Bezecchi winning three grands prix and finishing an impressive third in the drivers’ championship. Bezzecchi remains with the team for 2024, but Gresini has made an important addition with the arrival of Fabio Di Giannantonio from Ducati Racing. Di Gianantonio replaces Luca Marini, who now drives for Honda after signing a two-year contract.

In addition to the changes to the rider line-up, VR46 also introduces a new corporate identity, marking the beginning of a partnership with Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina. Pertamina’s lubricant, Pertamina Enduro, comes in a vibrant yellow, white and red livery, giving the team a new look.

Despite Bezzecchi’s offer to race the Ducati factory in 2024 in Pramac livery, the rider has chosen to continue riding the VR46. In an interview with Autosport last year, Bezzec expressed his desire to join a factory team in the future, suggesting there is no point in simply switching from one satellite team to another.

The 2024 season promises to be challenging as the duo of Bezzecki and DiGiannantonio look to maintain or even surpass the success of previous years. VR46 will be one of four Ducati teams this season, along with factory Ducati teams Gresini and Pramac.

With the team entering the final year of its current deal with Ducati, recent speculation has suggested the team could switch to Yamaha in 2025. Not only does it bring new power to the VR46, but it also adds two bikes to the Yamaha lineup.

With the new season of testing set to begin on February 6 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia, the VR46 Racing Team is ready to take on the new challenge, driven by a new visual identity and the enthusiasm of its drivers and fans.
