“Marquez Targets Bagnaia and Martin, Vows to Respond to Honda Riders”

Márquez Targets Bagnaia and Martin and Promises to Respond to Honda Drivers:-

Marc Márquez, the well-known pilot of MotoGP, announced his plans for the 2024 season and emphasized that he is firmly focusing his target on Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin. At the introduction of the Gresini Racing team, Márquez stated his intention to respond to the practice of targeting him by incoming Honda riders during his departure from Honda.

“Logically, when new riders came to Honda, they ‘targeted’ me,” Márquez Gresini said in an interview with Sky at its launch. “Now I will do the same with Bagnaia and Martin; they are both the strongest and the difference makers. I have to learn a lot from both of them to understand how to ride this bike.”

Márquez, who will race in GP23 this season, will use the same motorcycle used by last year’s champion Bagnaia and second-place Martin. Factory Ducati and Pramac riders will switch to a new GP24.

When asked about his toughest opponent, Márquez surprisingly said: “In the end, I’m more interested in myself, because I have to manage myself.” “We have a lot of work, the expectations are very high, but I want to start calmly: If you eat too quickly, you will get indigestion later.”

“They took a risk with me, they waited until October for my decision,” Márquez said about the move to the new team.

After difficult years with Honda, Márquez aims to bring back the fun and competition on motorcycles. “I want to have fun again,” Márquez insisted. “I achieved a lot, but the last 3-4 years were very difficult and I wanted to start having fun on a motorcycle again. The Gresini team was the only team that waited for me and gave me time; when they saw me ready, they chose me.”

With renewed focus, Márquez showed off his skills on a test ride with Ducati in Valencia. Stating that he was looking forward to the tests in Malaysia, Márquez expressed his excitement by saying in Spanish, “I feel like a child with new shoes.”

The Márquez brothers will be teammates for the first time since early 2020. “I always wish Alex the best,” added Marc. “I always tell him he should think he is very strong, he is a two-time world champion and I am sure he will do well this year.”
