Marini Confident: Honda Set to Make Swift MotoGP Comeback

10 months ago By Sports Desk

Luca Marini, the Italian star racer for Repsol Honda, is really confident that his team, the Japanese manufacturer Honda, is going to make a very swift comeback in the MotoGp 2024 season, after some really disturbing years.

The Italian joined the Repsol Honda Team for a contract for two seasons, the 2024 and 2025 respectively. He replaced one of the all time greats of MotoGP,  the six time championship winner, the Spanish Marc Marquez.

Marini, who had previously committed to staying with VR46 Ducati through 2024, stated of his transfer to Honda in an interview with the Japanese manufacturer: “It was a shock after Marc announced his change.”

In order to return and win races and world titles, my manager, my group, and I sought to figure out how to approach this new project and work together to develop and try to construct a better bike.

“These are our objectives, our targets, so I’m sure there will also be incredibly fulfilling moments.”

About Honda, he said, it’s the greatest MotoGP team ever. It has the history, it had the numbers, it has the tech and personnel too. And they are just in dormant phase as of now, but getting ready to strike back at any moment.

On his own expectations , he said that he wants to begin the season on an open mind, with nothing to worry about, and full of the desire to compete, fight and win.

The Italian also expressed his admiration for the Japanese team and praised the culture within the team. Noting that Thor workplace is awesome and stress-free.

Now  words are mere words, can Marini and Honda really achieve what they have been dreaming talk, or it will just remain a mere talk? That we can only find out when the season kicks off and the time to show their talent on the grid arrives.
