IndyCar Champion Palou Joins Ganassi’s Daytona 24 Hours Cadillac Line-up

Reigning IndyCar champion Alex Palou is set to return to the Rolex 24 At Daytona as part of the Chip Ganassi Racing team. Palou will join a family group of four drivers, alongside Sebastien Bourdais, Scott Dixon and Renger van der Zande. This quartet has already competed together in the No. 01 Cadillac at the Rolex 24 in 2022, but will now face the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) category with hybrid propulsion.

Expressing his excitement, Palou stated, “I’m very excited to return to Daytona after competing with the team in the DPi era in 2022. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the new hybrid, and it will be a great way to start the year early with a team so fantastic and with such incredible teammates.” Palou holds the title of having recorded the fastest lap during the 2022 endurance event.

The team is preparing for the Roar Before the Rolex 24 qualifying weekend, January 19-21, leading up to the Rolex 24 At Daytona, which marks the official start of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season on January 27-28. January. Palou’s return to the Daytona circuit adds anticipation to the event as he looks forward to the challenge in the new hybrid configuration and aims for victory alongside his experienced teammates.

Chip Ganassi Racing and Cadillac Racing aspire to build on their previous successes, and with the collective experience of Palou, Bourdais, Dixon and Van Der Zande, they form a formidable team ready to compete in the prestigious endurance race. The event promises to be an exciting start to the racing calendar, showcasing cutting-edge technology in the GTP class and the determination of top-level drivers seeking success at Daytona.
