Fermin Aldeguer Secures Ducati MotoGP Move

9 months ago By Sports Desk

Young Spanish talent Fermin Aldeguer is set to take the next step in his career, confirming his move to Ducati in MotoGP in 2025. The 18-year-old Aldegger has already made a mark in Moto2, winning four consecutive victories at the end of last season.

Aldeguare reportedly formalized an agreement with Ducati last week, becoming a key player in the Italian team’s future plans. The rider will remain in Moto2 this season, competing for the Speed Up Racing team.

Ducati, seeking stability and avoiding surprises, has enlisted the services of the promising young rider, who finished third in the Moto2 standings last season. The agreement was signed ahead of the unveiling of Ducati’s new livery and demonstrates the team’s commitment to building a strong foundation for the future.

Aldegger has been linked with a move to MotoGP in 2024 and could be offered seats at Repsol Honda and VR46. However, Speed Up Racing team owner Luca Boscoscuro rejected all offers, saying Aldeguare was “not for sale, no matter what the offer was made to him”.

The young rider who excelled in Moto2 now has an exciting future ahead of him. Ducati, known for its dominance in MotoGP events, will provide Aldegger with a platform to continue his rise in the motorcycle racing world.

As the current MotoGP season gets underway, Aldeguer will continue to focus on his Moto2 campaign, racing for the Speed Up Racing team. His results and track ability certainly add an exciting element to the MotoGP transfer market, with established teams such as Pramac, VR46 and Gresini now keeping a close eye on the future.

A move to Ducati in 2025 gives Aldegger the chance to compete for one of MotoGP’s most prestigious teams and prove his worth in the top category. The future of 2025 promises an exciting game of musical chairs, and Ducati’s unofficial confirmation of the signing of Fermin Aldeguer is one of the highlights of these strategic moves in the motorcycle racing world.
