F1 2024 Car Launch Season: Key Highlights Before Pre-Season Testing and Bahrain GP

9 months ago By Sports Desk

The inaugural season of Formula 1 in 2024 promises excitement and innovation even before the start of the pre-season tests and the Bahrain Grand Prix. As teams unveil their cars and new toys, there’s a lot of talk about what’s to come next season.

Red Bull surprises with “aggressive” approach:
After a historically defining 2023 season, Red Bull was the latest team to unveil its 2024 car. The RB20 impressed with its “bold” and “aggressive” approach, praised by Max Verstappen. It will be interesting to see how this approach translates into racing.

Mercedes innovates with a new look:
Mercedes surprised us by presenting a new look for the W15 at the car show on February 14. Combining the traditional black and silver colors with green, the team promises a stunning look for Lewis Hamilton’s final season with them. Visual changes can indicate significant performance changes.

Ferrari preserves tradition with innovation:
Ferrari has committed to delivering an “all-new” car by 2024, and it hasn’t disappointed. The yellow and white stripes added to the traditional red created a unique beauty. Despite the imminent arrival of Lewis Hamilton, the team remains focused on improving the results of the previous season.

McLaren confident after strong 2023 season:
After unveiling its new model in mid-January, McLaren finally unveiled the MCL38 on February 14th. With realistic expectations, CEO Jack Brown emphasized that the team is confident that it will build a strong performance at the end of 2023. The fight against Red Bull will be very important.

Aston Martin wants to regain its lost position:
After a strong start to 2023, Aston Martin faces challenges in the second half of the season. The launch of AMR24 on February 12 shows that the team is determined to move forward. Fernando Alonso believes the car will be a “good step” and the competition at the top of the table could be tougher.

Haas started the start season on February 2 with a virtual presentation of the VF-24. Compared to last year’s VF-23, the team, which looked almost completely black, warned that it could start the season at the bottom of the table. New team leader Ayao Komatsu does not underestimate the challenges ahead.

The Alpine look set to change disappointingly after 2023:
After a disappointing 2023 season, Alpine unveiled the “completely redesigned” A524 on February 7. With the introduction of new colors for the cars of Pierre Gasly and Esteban Oken, the team expects a significant change. Finding new wins will be key to restoring the team’s credibility.

Williams presents the FW46 in digital style:
Williams was the second team to unveil its 2024 car, the FW46, on February 5. The new colors were presented with a digital presentation at the launch of new sponsor Puma in New York. The team hopes that these changes will result in significant improvements.

Visa cash RB (ex-Alphatauri) shines with Kendrick Lamar:
The rebranded RB team launched the VCARB 01 at an event in Las Vegas on February 8th, highlighting the striking new white and blue colorway. The leaked video featured a performance by Kendrick Lamar, who added a dash of beauty to boot. There are high expectations regarding the team’s performance on the field.

Sauber with a surprise livery change:
Sauber, now known as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, kicked off the fantasy with a new green and black livery at the London launch of the C44. With the purchase of Audi in 2026, the team is ready for a new era. The appearance of this unique color gives freshness to the F1 grid.

Pre-season and Bahrain Grand Prix in full view:
The season begins with pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit on February 21-23. Expectations are high, especially after the car’s exciting debut. The Bahrain Grand Prix, which runs from February 29 to March 2, kicks off a 24-race season.

Between visual changes, innovation and increased expectations, F1 fans can expect an exciting season where teams will fight for dominance on the world’s tracks.
