James Hinchcliffe Declares 2023 IndyCar Champion Palou “Not Human”

11 months ago By Sports Desk

James Hinchcliffe, the former IndyCar racer now turned commentator, has labelled 2023 IndyCar Champion Alex Palou as “not human.”.

In 2023, Alex Palou demonstrated the most dominant Indycar season in recent years. Starting his season strongly, the Spaniard upped his game with each race, ultimately clinching the championship with one race left. He is marking his second Indycar championship in three years with Chip Ganassi Racing.

In a season where there were many different race winners,
Palou finished the season with a staggering five race wins and 10 podium finishes.

With the ongoing conflict between Alex Palou and McLaren, the Spaniard has coped well with this news. looked much calmer and composed on the field and performed at such a high level throughout the season.

Picking Alex Palou as the driver of the season and pointing out this exact dispute between Mclare Palou, James Hinchcliffe said, “I’m not entirely sure what Palou is made out of; he might not be human! It just didn’t seem like anything could faze him.”

“We haven’t seen IndyCar perform as clinically as he did every single weekend in a long time.

According to the statistics, Paulou had the lowest finish of the season—eighth—in the season’s first game. When we discuss the fiercely competitive IndyCar era and how difficult it is to win these races, Palou’s accomplishment of taking home as many victories in some of the most dominant ways was truly remarkable.

Hinchcliffe identifies one specific factor that, when combined with the off-track pressure Palou has faced as a result of contract disputes between Ganassi and McLaren that implicate the young driver, makes the Spanish driver the fearsome rival he is.

According to Hinchcliffe’s remarks, “There’s a mental strength there; that’s very evident.” Even people we refer to as “The Iceman,” Scott Dixon, are not perfect; occasionally, you’ll hear an angry radio broadcast or speak with an interviewer who is frustrated—after all, he’s still human.

“I’m not quite sure what Palou is composed of; he may not even be human! He simply didn’t seem to be affected by anything.
